Thursday 11th
We are in the middle of the final recordings, mixes and adjustments to what will end up as the new album, "Monster Philosophy", out by November 10...  – Mixing has begun and the end is drawing near on a 2½ year long journey with these new songs... Jon "Joshua" Shumann is the producer/mixer – today he's working iin the Sun Studios in Copenhagen Northwest and mixes one of the 14 tracks that are left from a pool of app. 42(!)…
I however go to Vanløse to a different studio – the studio we have used for dubbing for almost 2 months – and where Joshua's assistant Steffen and I are going to try to do a vocal track that surpasses the one I sang at the beginning of the production. The track is called "Money Always Takes The Place Of Life". I sing the song 5-6 times and after one hour we have, by putting 2 takes together for one long, actually "beaten" the old version – victory!!
Drive fast to the Sun Studios with the computer file and at the same time get to hear how far Joshua have come with the title track "Monster Philosophy" – a track that was already on the first demos 1½ years ago, and it's now one of the corner stones of the album… As a headline for the sound for this track, we invented the genre "black disco" – and now you can definitely headbang AND dance, and it sounds very convincing. Later on Stig and Cobber show up, and when Laust arrives a little after that, we approve and put the song to bed…and right there I'm ready to bet that the track will be the first single…Drive home along Nørrebrogade and enjoy the diesel fumes, to bed around 2 AM.
