My son was in an accident and passed away last thursday and we are having a room that people attending the service can walk through and see his stuff, and listen to the music he liked. As D-A-D was one of his favorite bands I am asking you if there are any particular songs that you think would be appropriate.

I am deeply sorry fore you and your familys loss and I wish to offer my condolences too. Death is a terrible thing especially when its some one close to one - and not least when it´s a son or daughter or another close familymember Smiley-midget-sad

I think it´s a very respektful thing that you have made such a room with things / music that had meant a lot to your son - in that way people realy can remember even forgotten memories.

Mad days!!!

Wow, I'm very sorry to hear that. It's a nice idea and a great way to remember him. Best of luck to you and your family in getting through this.

I can't help but think that although these songs that people have suggested are all very good and fit the situation very well, they might not be representative of D-A-D. If you truly want to represent your son's musical taste, you should consider that D-A-D are primarily a rock band. I dunno, I'm just thinking out loud here. Luckily I've never been in your situation.

I am really sorry to hear about your loss.
My sincere regards go to you in these difficult times to come.

I would let Riskin' it all or more of their albums play on repeat, I guess. So people could get a broad taste of his favorite band.

Yours,
Pernille

So sad! Smiley-sad

But I must agree with VD and
Lasse Damgaard
... Play the d-a-d that he liked... It could also be the rock ones if he liked the harder part of d-a-d, I don't know of course, but then again I'm so sorry to hear that!

Thanks again for all your suggestions and kind words. He was a fan off all of the bands stuff, as am I. Everytime I would be missing one of the CD's I would find it hidden in his room. We just got back from setting up the room and have his "scare yourself" T-shirt hanging up in the middle of it. Thanks again.

It changes everyhting
But in the wrong direction
It changes everything
And what we turn into
Love conquers all
But evil won today
It changes everything
It changes everything .....

Im sorry to hear about the loss of your child. Parents are not ment to bury their children, it is supposed to be the other way around...

No words, either written in here, or in a song, can heal the wound left by this tragic accident.

I hope you and your family will find comfort and strenth in your friends and loved ones to help you through this terrible time.

I think its nice of you to celebrate his life by doing this. It gives his friends a chance to remember him as he were one more time.

There are so many great rock songs to choose from, but if I had to pick one, and your son listend to it, it would have to be Time Swallows Time from the HelpYourSelFish CD...but then again, only if he listend to it...otherwise, just go with the albums he liked, Im sure he had many songs he loved and rocked to Smiley-midget

Kind regards,
Nikko

I'm very sorry to hear about your los.

I think all the suggestions here are good. And I don't really have anything to ad to the list, all the songs mentioned are great.
And I also thinks it's a good idea playing the songs your son loved.
