If you don't know the reality af the albums, you can check www.udemaerket.com, they will know it. I think The Boys.... are from the late 80'ies.. But check with the buyer..

Saxbjoern -> Do NEVER pay money for bootlegs.. It's not fair when people earn money for something other people have made.
Bootlegs is for trade, not for sale!
By the way, Live Craziness and The boys are back in town, is available on the server.

crappe (and others) - yes in general boots shouldn't be sold, but those above exist as original bootlegs, so that's a slight different matter...
usually those are sold for 300-600 depending on which one, the condition and who sells it...

They are all 3 bootlegs - unautorized recording releases.. whether they are "real" bootlegs or not - they're still the same.. the "real" ones are probably just professionally printed, but they can't ever be official..
Posted: Sun, 2005-12-11 11:06
Nope, "Overmuch" is supposed to be official as it got a Promo-Number like all the other official Promo-CDs do: DAD123-2
Besides: The quailty is really great, so this should be a soundboard recording wich _raises_ the chance for guessing that it's official.
As far as the two other recordings are concerned the difference to later done bootlegs is that these are no CD-R's but professional produced (not recorded ) media, like e.g. "Danish Dynamite" is on vinyl.

also you can see a picture of overmuch in "Brændstof til drengedrømme"/"Disneyland After Dark"(the book)...

They are still BOOTLEGS - unautorized blabla.. If they were official, they wouldn't be bootlegs, they would be official d-a-d live-albums.. d-a-d just accept the bootlegs, but they havn't officially officially given permission to release them.. and also I don't think those who made the bootlegs have paid any royalties.. so it isn't official releases - d-a-d just accept them...
..just like they accept "tabs" and have it on the website - that's actually also illigal here in Denmark..
Posted: Sun, 2005-12-11 13:13
Actually I just noticed that all 5 "original boots" are mentioned on page 108 of "Brændstof..." The boys are back in town, Bad Grazyness, Live Craziness, overmuch and Danish & Dynamite... and there are pictures of Overmuch and Live Craziness... but yes... strictly speaking they're not authorized...
and as you say - even tabs is actually illegal - unless you have concent from the artist, they may not be published...
But still, I believe it's ok to pay for theese original boots, as they are collectors items....
Posted: Sun, 2005-12-11 14:22
I think it's probably ok to pay the printing costs.. don't think anyone should earn money on it - and that also makes it even more criminal, ifwe should look on it that way..
Posted: Sun, 2005-12-11 14:50
I suppose it's kinda hard to say what the printing costs were 15 years ago... and they are profesinally printed (one on 2-LP and the others with real printings on disks and so on... and the rarity of them also has something to say...
but on regular boots I agree 100% - no earnings! (I actually threatened someone to report it to the authoritys once, because he was selling a boot for 100 kr or something like that...)
Therefore I also support very much putting boots up for free (in proper quality) on the ftp-server...
Posted: Sun, 2005-12-11 16:23
well.. you can discuss the value of rareity of bootlegs for ages.. I can also record a concert and print it professionally and only make one copy..
and say it's rare, then..

Why are tabs illegal, please explain?
Posted: Fri, 2005-12-16 21:38
because the only one with rights for the tabs is the artist who originally made the song, it's illegal to publish a selfmade tab without the artists approval... so the tabs available here are legal enough...
a little article about the problem (the rules are somewhat similar in Denmark):http://www.betanews.com/article/Music_Industry_to_Attack_Lyric_Tab_Sites...

Hmmm... methinks Saxbjoern has been to qxl to look for bootlegs.

Z-D: Where did you read those similar Danish rules, do you have a reference?
Posted: Mon, 2005-12-19 09:48
to lazy to find it right now, but I remember a case where kim larsen and gasolin tabs were forced off the web a couple of years ago due to theese rules...
Posted: Mon, 2005-12-19 16:04
yes, they made a "campaign" for a couple of years ago and closed all danish unautorized tab-websites.. incl. a few tabs that I had put up on a website I had then..
