In this thread, you can all ask for a ride from where you live.. It's easier/cheaper if we share car..
we made the event in Odense, because it was the most central place in DK..

-I'll led you know if I'm comming from Haderslev or Odense..
Posted: Sat, 2006-02-18 18:07
well.. I was thinking of hitchhiking
but if anyone are going from Aalborg anyway, it would be nice
Posted: Sat, 2006-02-18 18:14
I'm going from Esbjerg and IF I can get a hold of one of my parents cars I would be happy to pick someone up aslong as it is on the esbjerg-odense route...
But let's see if that's possible first before I start making promises I can't hold
Posted: Sat, 2006-02-18 19:16
Anyone from Viborg or near? It would be nice with someone to travel with.
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-19 14:06
I'm from Aalborg too, and I need a ride. (We are two)
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-19 17:07

Posted: Sun, 2006-02-19 17:28
And I'm going from Aarhus. It's easy for me to take the train, but if anyone offers me a ride, I wont say no. ;)
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-19 18:30
Anyone thought of arranging a bustour? from Aalborg and down?
Wild idea.. perhaps it could stop by Wales haha

"Anyone thought of arranging a bustour? from Aalborg and down?

well I guess it would have to be that bus from harry potter for that to be possible :P
but if 20 people write here that they need a ride from Aalborg, it would be an opportunity (possibly it could stop once or twice on it's way down)
Posted: Mon, 2006-02-20 09:40
We had the same idea
So we are in for the bus.
An "Orange" train ticket from Aalborg to Slagelse costs 135,00 kr ( one way) But who wants to go all the way to Slagelse ( I didn`t write this)
I will wait for further notice before booking hotel.

A quick look at Krak.dk show that the tour from Aalborg - Århus - Odense will take 2 ½ hours.
I think it would be really cool of someone took the initiative to call a buscompany in Aalborg and heard about some prices. In the long run, it might be more fun and cheaper to hire a bus instead of taking the public transportation..??
Posted: Mon, 2006-02-20 22:54
Yeah, we could have some beer and listen to D-A-D on the bus. Mmm beer (drools)
Posted: Mon, 2006-02-20 23:25
My boyfriend knows someone who knows someone (complicated) with a bus.
He will call this man tomorrow and ask for a price.
But how many people shall we calculate with? ( size of bus) And do you want to travel home right after the event?
There might be more ? but I`ll get back.
Posted: Tue, 2006-02-21 10:34
somebody taking the train?, then the driver can have a beer also!!,,,
From knuds garage, -Kolding...!!!
Posted: Tue, 2006-02-21 16:19
I think the bus thing sounds like a good idea. I'd like to join it. ;)

Posted: Tue, 2006-02-21 18:21

I'm from Lolland.. Thinking about taking the train to Odense..
Anybody else with that idea??
Posted: Wed, 2006-02-22 13:44
It's a bit far from Australia but enjoy! You lucky people. Have a beer and think of me.
Posted: Wed, 2006-02-22 15:01
MissU has made a great move, by contacting a bus company, who will drive from Aalborg to Odense, and Back after the party.
The bus will cost 440 Dkr/hour. The party will start at about 5 pm (17.00), and will end at about 2-3 am.
That will be a total of: 440 Dkr x 4400 Dkr totally for the bus.
There can be a total number of 47 in the bus. ( about 90 Dkr/person ).
Posted: Wed, 2006-02-22 15:05
If anybody are going from KBH I will contact a bus company and arrange something
contact me email@example.com if you are interested!!!!
Posted: Wed, 2006-02-22 16:18
oops I need to tell, that the bus costs 8800,00 kr for 16 hours. If we can find 47 passengers it`ll be 188,00 kr pr person.
IF we need the bus for more than 16 hours, we shall have to drivers which costs extra 2000 + 550 pr extra hour.
But I need people to contact me, if they´re interested.
Posted: Wed, 2006-02-22 17:09
usually the reason to have 2 drivers is because one driver has to get (i think) 8 hours sleep or so before he can be allowed to drive again...if the party lasts 7-8 hours, I fail to see the problem (btw... 8 hours + 2 * 3 hours = 14 hours... not 16 ;) (just approximating the driving time to 3 hours - dgs.dk says 2:20 in car))
Posted: Wed, 2006-02-22 17:22
You´re absolutely right about "kære-hviletidsproblemet" ( sorry)
Toksvig just wrote in a mail that the event would be about 10 hours.
The buscompany told us yesterday that if they use only 1 driver and it takes more than 16 hours it can cost them 6000 or 9000 kr if some little black-dressed guy with a lollipop shows up. Not nice!
But anyway if 47 persons wants a ride I think 188,00 kr is cheap. The plan is to ( if it´s going to be) start in Aalborg and find some places to pick up people.
But to keep the price we have to stick to the 16 hours.
Posted: Wed, 2006-02-22 18:20
renting a bus isn´t exactly cheap - once my band callede Todbjerg for a bus from Århus to Mosstock Festival near Skanderborg, the price was 1900 dkr :O
I got a bus for 9 pers.,our bandbus,but it´s already booked for that day.
Posted: Sat, 2006-02-25 12:12
If someone is interested in the bus-idea, you can mail me.
We hope to find 47 passengers, then the price can be 188,00 kr pr person. ( IF we stick to 16 hours rent!)

Hmmm.... The whole idea about the tribute event is great, and it's a good idea, but totally it's getting a bit too expensive for me with the bus and everything. So I'm sorry to say that I won't show up to the event.
But to those who go - have a great time!!!
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-26 06:45
I'm sorry you think it is too expensive... I do not know how it could be cheaper... We have tried everything.. As it is right now we have to sell a lot of tickets to avoid any personal expensives..
After all, there will be three concerts, and a DJ plus The worlds biggest DAD Fan-Mess.. If you have an idea, how it could be any cheaper, please let us know.. We've asked 34 companies if they would join a sponsorprogram, but all thanked no.. so please, let us know if you have any ideas, to keep the price down..
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-26 12:33
If I may come with a suggestion:
The correct running time of the arrangement would be 9 hours (from 17-02.00) The fan-mess last for 2 hours. If you arrive from 18.00-02.00 you could spare atleast 2 hours.
3 hours drive - 8 hours of massive festivities - 3 hours drive = 14 hours. Perhaps that could cut the expences just a bit?
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-26 12:37
The Marlboro, can't you just hide in the trunk of the bus?
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-26 12:59
If we only need the bus for 14 hours, it`ll be like this:
14 x 550,00 kr ( incl moms) = 7.700,00 kr
7.700,00 kr : 47 ( cross m fingers for a full bus) = ca 164,00 kr pr person.
For me it`s cheap - my alternative is the train, (maybe rent a car) and a hotel.
But... write me if we can arrange something
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-26 17:50
Well the only way it could get cheaper is if I moved closer to Odense!
I just think that about 300DKR is a bit too much compared to what you get for the money. But for those who should give about 200-250 I think it's okay.
So it's only the distance to Odense which is the problem.
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-26 18:03
I will not say that I know lot about the train-prices, but why don't you'all take the same train, maybe book a hole section, and go home the same night.. maybe try that orange-thingy..?
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-26 20:14
Orange-tickets costs 2 x 135 kr. There is not a lot of them. Just remeber to get an orange ticket you officiall need to cross the bridge and go to Slagelse
Ordinary tickets costs 2 x 306 ( incl pladsbillet)
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-26 22:01
Thats ok, marlboro.. i thougt you ment the show was to expensive.. he he..
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-26 22:05
How many tickets do you have to sell to make it a success?
Posted: Sun, 2006-02-26 22:20
We have to sell about 160 tickets.. So please help us spread the message... You can order material from us to give to your friends and other, for helping us make this a great succes..
Posted: Mon, 2006-02-27 16:33
If you have some posters or flyers or something, I suggest you put the image files up on the site - that way you might be able to get someone to print out a few and hang them around the neighbourhood I cold put up a few here at the university... (can only print black and white though)...
Posted: Mon, 2006-02-27 22:04
I would do that too at my gymnasium..!
Posted: Mon, 2006-02-27 22:24
I'm from Hjørring.. But i'll join the Aalborg bus.
Posted: Tue, 2006-02-28 16:02
I think the flíers will be black & white. But our graphic man is on Greenland at the moment.
our plan is this next tuesday we'll have 4.000 fliers printed, so please send an email to Toksvig with your adress and we'll send you a package with fliers to hand out. A4 posters (also black/white) will be uploaded to our website when Kuld is back (I think).
Btw. thanks for the great support..

How is it with transport?? any news about renting a bus/ses
Posted: Tue, 2006-03-07 07:27
No news - yet.
It would be nice if we could find enough people for the bus - still 188,00 kr pr person for 16 hours.
Yesterday I delivered some posters and fliers in Aalborg - so maybe we end up with the bus, maybe not
If you`re interested in joining the bus contact me : MissU@mail-online.dk

The bus from Sjælland are not at the moment taking form..
I have recieved a mail from a guy from Sweden, but still, we are only 7 persons..
Posted: Tue, 2006-03-07 13:13
Miss U.. I still don't it.. Why do you need to book the bus for 16 hours, when you can do with 14??
